Scout CEO Brent Yaschuk said the collaboration with Nissha has been ongoing informally since he first connected with the team at a SENSOR+Test Measurement Fair in Germany.
“Their expertise and dedication left a lasting impression,” said Yaschuk, adding that they have now come to an agreement for Scout to represent the Japan factory directly and sell the sensor technologies in North America.
“These sensors are highly complementary to our existing offerings, and we believe that Nissha will be a successful partner for us,” said Yaschuk. “Among the various products we represent, the refrigerant sensors stand out as a major focus, particularly in light of recent regulations.”
There are increasingly complex regulatory requirements around taking a comprehensive approach to refrigerant handling and leak detection because of the potential safety and environmental risks associated with the leakage of refrigerant gases.
“We recognize that Nissha is committed to protecting the environment while creating more advanced products that help avoid health hazards,” Yaschuk said, adding this aligns with Scout’s core values. “We strive to ensure that every worker remains safe and secure in their environment every day.”
